Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin Pop mainstream has been affected by his global reach. Una Lady Como Tu, the hit song from 2016 was awarded the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Favorite Song. In 2017, he dropped ADN which was his debut long-player to La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The Top Latin Albums chart ranked ADN at the 8th spot. Vaina Loca was an instant Top Five hit for Ozuna and him the year after. Mala Influencia was released in 2020 by Noriel as well as his Dopamina album the following year. He appeared later in 2021 on a duet TINI on her streaming smash single Maldita Foto. The year 2023 came around and the hit song La Bachata was released. Turizo was born into the musical home of his family. Both his older brother and mother are each musicians. In his interviews, he's talked about playing music as an obligation. As a child he learned how to play the saxophone, the ukulele, and piano. In spite of initially wanting to be veterinarian, Julian convinced him that learning with a Cuban music teacher could change the direction of his profession.
