Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. Her early years were shaped by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the traditional romantic, ranchero, and romantic ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos and operas as well as other dramatic performances. After singing with her mom and sister, she began more intense singing lessons at the age of 16, under the direction by renowned Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. While a young student and professional, she sang with numerous chamber ensembles and opera choirs in Guadalajara and Mexico City. Following her move to the United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her residence in southern California. She currently performs classic Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. She has been involved with a number of local organizations in both teaching and performer because of her love of music and art. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for the opportunity to share her passion and enthusiasm for old-fashioned Latin American songs with others as she hopes to inspire a passion, especially among younger generations in order to keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
